Founder, Will Writer, Mortgage & Protection Adviser

I have many years of experience in financial services working for high street brands. I created Abode in 2017 to offer more choice to my mortgage and protection clients. I also wanted to create a healthy working environment where staff welfare and progression is a priority.

As well as being the Founder of Abode, I am a qualified mortgage and protection adviser known as ‘The Protection Queen’ on LinkedIn. I am passionate about educating our clients in the importance of financial protection and in 2024, I also became a Will Writer and Estate Planner to further assist our clients in protecting themselves and their families. 

I enjoy spending time with my husband David, my step children and step grandchildren. I also enjoy socialising with my close friends and their families. I am passionate about health, wellness and nutrition and you will often find me running, practising yoga and cooking healthy homemade food for my family.

Claire & Team Abode helped me secure my first home in April 2021 as a First Time Buyer in just 6 weeks! I witnessed first-hand the passion and dedication of Claire and the Abode team so when a role became available in early 2022, I knew it would be an amazing opportunity to join them.

Since joining Abode, I have passed my CII R01 exam which is the first module towards becoming a qualified mortgage adviser. I have also gained my General Insurance Adviser status enabling me to offer advice on Buildings & Contents Insurance. 

In December 2023, I passed the CII Financial Services Administrator Apprenticeship with a Distinction.

 In December 2024, I was a finalist in the CII Financial Services Administrator Apprentice of the Year which involved a trip to the City of London. 

When not at work I love spending time creating memories with my gorgeous but crazy daughter, Isla, who loves playing outdoors.

I am looking forward to what 2025 will bring both professionally and personally!

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

I discovered my passion for mortgage and protection when I fell into financial services by chance in 2022. I already had a background in conveyancing and estate agency and gained my CeMap qualification in early 2024.

I joined Abode in October 2024 when the opportunity became available to work with a team whose values strongly align with my own. 

 I love how varied and interesting the mortgage advice role can be and especially enjoy helping First Time Buyers onto the property ladder and supporting their home buying journey. I was a First Time Buyer in 2023 so completely understand the feeling of buying your first home. 

Out of the office, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and ticking off European city breaks when I can.

Pablo joined Abode on the hottest day of the year in Summer 2022:  An unforgettable day!!

Pablo made an instant impact on the Abode team, not only for his cuteness but also his love of life! You will often find him chilling out on an office chair or playing with his toys.  Pablo also acts as a real life stress ball and is often found distributing cuddles. He will often be the first one to greet you at the office door!!
